JADE Master Terminal's container terminal handling capability is a core
feature of the system. Proven in ports of all sizes, the software
handles all types of containers including flat racks, powered and tank containers
with ease.
The system operates one of the largest reefer and empty operation
container ports in the southern hemisphere and interfaces to a wide
variety of external systems that operate in modern container terminals:
- Automated Reefer monitoring systems
- Automated weighing sensors in cargo handling equipment
- Fully integrated Gate and Rail processing (no extra module required)
- Automated Invoicing with interface to externals General Ledger
systems
- Legacy Relational Database updates for Data Warehousing
- Radio Frequency, Cellular and 802.11 communications to devices
- Full in-built EDI support for over 70 different messages
Containers (and all other cargo) can be pre-notified into the system
either directly by your clients or via EDI messages customized to
your client's needs. Trucking companies can go on-line over the
Internet and after supplying suitable authorization can obtain a
PIN to allow fast gate transit.
Cargo handling operations commence at the Gate or integrated Rail
interface where cargo is registered, releases are input and the
system automatically plans yard placements, allocates and directs
cargo handling equipment to the truck and begins fully automated
dwell time monitoring.
Cargo is marshaled into the yard, automatically weighed as uplifted
by sensors embedded in your machines and each movement tracked and
automatically optionally invoiced in real time.
Ships are scheduled, color codes for load and discharge are electronically
received and automatically processed, cargo is automatically planned
and the actual ship exchange carefully monitored by a state-of-the-art
fully integrated package. You aren't jumping into a ship planning
module to do your work with a limited subset of the information
available. All information is available at all times to authorized
operators.
JADE Master Terminal is a long established proven performer in
the container terminal market. Go to Our Clients

Port Nelson have recently upgraded their existing Teklogix narrow band RDT
equipment with state-of-the-art heavily ruggedized laptops running the Jade
Smart Thin Client Jade Master Terminal application using Telecom's CDMA
cellphone cellular network for communications to and from the devices.
Geoff Shepard from Port Nelson states they are extremely impressed with the
minimal bandwidth being used by the JMT application's smart forms which are
all touch-screen high definition colour units mounted in the terminal's
fork lift machinery, with bandwidth consumption well under expectations
making this a very cost-effective option to maintaining your own 802.11 or
narrow band radio data network. In addition, because the system is using
cellular encrypted telephone technology the signals are completely
unaffected by steel structures, the radio network is no longer Port Nelson's
responsibility.
Feedback from the machinery drivers' is overwhelmingly positive, with
workshops held at the port between staff and JMT developers to determine the
optimum screen layouts that fitted how they actually do their job.
